Respect is a divine instinct and a psychological need that all human beings need; God created people who like to sit with people who show them respect. Whereas, respect is evidence of love, concern, and appreciation, and it is a sign of love for both spouses,

and there are some signs that show the husband’s respect for his wife, and they are as follows: [3]

Make eye contact while talking

Looking at the wife during her speech is considered a sign of the husband’s respect for her, and it is also evidence that he is a good listener,

unlike the husband who does not respect his wife and does not pay attention to what the wife says, and remains preoccupied with his phone or watching TV.

Share feelings

A husband who shares his wife’s feelings and responds to her, whether they are feelings of joy or sadness, is considered a husband who respects his wife,

and the wife must take into account the feelings of her husband, especially if he is sad.

Defend the wife

The husband must defend the wife upon hearing insulting words from any member of his family; Where he must defend her out of respect for her, but he must be based on solving the problem amicably and without losing his family,

and this applies to the wife. Where she must defend her husband in his presence and absence, whether the insult emanates from her family or his family.

Respect the wife’s feelings

The husband should appreciate the wife’s feelings and not ridicule or belittle her. And that regardless of her educational background or intellectual level.

Expense

The husband’s spending on his wife is evidence of his respect for her Whereas, the husband who does not suffice for his family and his wife or the husband who humiliates his wife at her expense is a man who does not respect his wife.

and there are a number of misconceptions among a group of women and men in marriage, and among that category are women who decide not to respect the husband because of his lack of respect for her.

• qiam alzawjat biwajibatiha alzawjiat bimhbat; wdhlk lan almahabat tusaeid ealaa ‘iikhfa’ jmye almsawy. hal alzawjayn limushakilihim alzawjiat beydaan ean aleayilat wal’aqariba. thduth alzawjat bikuli thanaa’ wataqdir ean zawjatih khilal ghiabiha.

• wkhswsaan ‘amam aleayilat wal’aqarib. mumarasat adab alhiwar mae alzawj mae alaihtimam waeadam almuqataeat ‘aw alsakhriat. alqiam bialbihawth min.

• ajl tashih almafahim alkhatiati, bial’iidafat ‘iilaa telum adab alhayat alzawjiati. alsabr ealaa alzawj waealaa al’akhta’ alty yaqum biha, mae alsaey litashihiha bialmawdat. taqdir alzawjat lizawjiha mae wadeah fi almakanat alty yastahiquha. ‘iiqra almazid ealaa mawdue.kum:

• The wife carries out her marital duties lovingly; This is because love helps hide all wrongdoing.
  Spouses solve their marital problems away from family and relatives.
• The wife spoke with all praise and appreciation about his wife during his absence. Especially in front of family and relatives.
• Exercising etiquette of dialogue with the husband with interest and not being interrupted or sarcastic.
• Conducting research to correct misconceptions, as well as learning marital etiquette.
• Patience with the husband and the mistakes he makes, while striving to correct them with affection.
• A wife’s appreciation of her husband while putting him in the position he deserves.
  

Married couples want to have a happy and successful marriage,

and therefore some advice must be followed for that, and among the most important of these tips are the following: [5]

• Appreciation of the other party, and this is through the expression and appreciation of the husband and wife, even with the passage of long years of marriage.
• Thank the other party for all the minor matters. Because this will encourage the husband or wife to do the same.
• Both husband and wife should be accustomed to honesty. Because this will increase the confidence between the two parties.

• Attention to appearance even when busy with daily chores.
